Our February featured artist of the month is Merill June!
Merill June (previously Beth Merill) is a UK-based singer-songwriter and producer who announced an exciting rebrand in February 2026, marking a fresh new chapter in her career. Originally from New Brighton, Merseyside and now based in Bedfordshire, she creates emotionally powerful, uplifting music designed to help people rise above life’s challenges. Her sound blends pop, soul, rock, country-synth and ambient electronic textures, combining elements of faith, warm vocals, rich production and big, hopeful choruses with honest, reflective lyrics.
Merill has been writing songs since she was a teenager & has always looked to God as her source of inspiration & draws from real life experience. He is the zeal behind all she does & dedicates towards her passion in music, with God being at the heart of it whatever the topic of the song, & the reason why she ultimately creates. The rebrand is a huge leap of faith in trusting God will continue to guide her path & provide more direction & opportunities for her journey as He has done thus far.
Since beginning her official music releases in 2020 under her previous Artist Name, Merill June has built a loyal and growing fanbase through authentic storytelling along with independent funding & collaborative production & sharing her raw & real posts online. She has been a two-time semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Contest, featured twice on BBC Introducing, and sold out her first London headline show in September 2025. Her breakout single Metronome was voted Top Song of 2025 by a local independent radio station, capturing her signature mix of emotional honesty and driving energy.
Merill began her public journey serving on her previous local Churches worship team despite years spent behind closed doors in her teens & twenties honing her songwriting craft & worshipping God in the secret place.
She now enjoys playing live at as many events/ locations as she can possibly attend who invite her to join them on stage, whether that’s a festival, local pub, showcase, online streaming, open mics, churches, private functions or for any faith based musical opportunity. Merill also enjoys singing outside as a busker in London - where she most recently got a license to perform by the famous London Eye. One of her favourite moments so far is when she gets to sing worship songs openly & freely to the public passing by and says’s “you’d be surprised how many of us are secretly Christian, as lots of people tend to stop & there’s been moments when total strangers have been worshipping together in the street. Those moments are what Kingdom is all about.”
Merill is next hoping to plan a mini UK tour with her band playing her original music & dreams of having the opportunity to play in other countries one day should God allow her the finances & opportunity to spread her wings & her songs further afield.
