Our June featured artist of the month is Howard Gripp!
Howard Gripp is a Wisconsin-based artist who transitioned from a rock 'n' roll background to fully embrace the Christian Contemporary/Rock genre. With a heart for ministry and a sound that blends raw emotion with uplifting power, Howard’s music is known for its strong, inspirational messages — designed to touch souls and remind listeners they are not alone.
Though new to the Christian music scene, Howard brings years of experience and a bold, fresh perspective. His songs have been praised for their emotional depth and impact, with listeners saying, "Very powerful! Your songs could save lives!" and "When I Pray has touched my life."
Howard’s musical journey began at age six on the drums, eventually leading to a career performing in rock bands, including recording a CD with a Los Angeles label. After a life-changing encounter with Jesus, he walked away from secular music to follow a calling: to create songs that glorify God and bring hope.
In 2024, Howard released his debut EP, Rescued Redeemed Forgiven, recorded in Nashville with renowned producers. The six-song collection addressed real-life challenges with themes of redemption, resilience, and faith. His breakout single, Hello It’s Me, gained national attention, winning Music Video of the Year from X-Poze-Ing, Magic Silver Screen Films, and the Couch Film Festival.
Howard’s momentum continued in early 2025 as he attended the We Love Christian Music Awards, walking the red carpet and connecting with the national Christian music community. His upcoming EP, I Can Feel The Change, begins releasing on April 18th, and has already opened doors to major Christian festivals this summer.
In recognition of his impact, Howard received multiple honors in 2025:
Best Christian Album of the Year (Rescued Redeemed Forgiven) – Rampage Music Awards
Best Christian Song of the Year (He Rescued Me – Acoustic) – Rampage Music Awards
Finalist in four categories at the WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) Awards
Plus, continued acclaim for Hello It’s Me as Music Video of the Year in three national competitions
With growing recognition and a deep sense of purpose, Howard remains committed to creating music that points people to Jesus — and reminds them that change, healing, and freedom are always possible..
