Our March featured artist of the month is Krystal Craven!
I’m Krystal Craven and most people know me as a wife (to my super awesome hubby), mama (to my spunky, beautiful girls), worship leader, and singer-songwriter/music artist. In this ministry God has entrusted to me, I create songs, devotionals, and content that are rooted in God’s Word to draw hearts into a deeper intimacy with Jesus, believing everything that God inspires is meant to be shared for His glory.
Like anyone, we all face trials in life and for me that meant my 20s and 30s were marked with chronic illness, which I later came to find was being exacerbated by the childhood sexual abuse I had faced between 2nd grade and later assaults in my teens, but by the grace of God alone I am able to walk in the works of this music ministry He has called me to.
Now being on the other side of God choosing to physically heal me, He has brought to me a place of getting to really focus on writing, recording, and releasing music. God used many avenues to heal me, that addressed spiritual, mental, and physical healing, and in hindsight, the major healing progress came as I acknowledged and spoke about the abuses I faced in safe places and God bringing me to a place of surrendering my story to simply be HIStory. Then when God had been working on healing my spiritual and mental health, He led me to a Christian program to help heal my stuck limbic system that was causing so many chronic issues in my body – and by incorporating holy habits, taking thoughts captive and changing mental health mindsets that weren’t serving me well, and slowly incorporating healthy habits that supported my body physically healing – I stand here today a grateful child of God, walking in my identity and freedom in Christ.
I spent decades battling debilitating severe health issues that eventually landed me paralyzed and in a wheelchair. If you’re interested, here’s a post about my journey: The Painful Road of Neurological Disorders.
For years I tried to ignore and hide the fact that I had neurological conditions. God convicted me and I resolved to be transparent and to share my hardships, my doubt, my pain, and more importantly share how God has prevailed through it all and may He be glorified always through my life!
In March 2020, God healed the vast majority of my symptoms through a 30 day fast He led me to do (which you can read about it in my post: Hello, My Name is Healed). Unfortunately, it only lasted so long and I spent another 5 years with returning symptoms, along with more diagnoses of autoimmune diseases, and otherwise overall declining health.
BUT GOD had other plans – in 2024 He led me to a Christian Intensive for women who had been sexually abused, and He catapulted my mental and spiritual health healing incredibly far forward. I not only found healing but also moved on to truly walk in my identity and freedom in Christ – I had already received eternal life in Him but had been walking bound from all the trauma and coping mechanisms – but from that point onward, I received the abundant life He gave and am now walking free (John 10:10, Galatians 5:1). God restored my soul!
In the beginning of 2025, God led me to a Christian program that uses neuroscience (neuroplasticity) to help heal my stuck limbic system. Within 3 months, I noticed significant improvement and by 6 months, things were a night and day difference, and I was physically healing with a trajectory to complete healing. In August 2025, God sent me on my first Worship Tour, and I now continue writing and releasing the music that God has inspired.
